Who Should Attend

KAVA is open to paid staff and volunteers. It is designed for those with less than three years of experience in the victim services field and for those who provide direct service to crime victims and survivors. All interested participants are encouraged to apply.

Application Process

Applications are accepted year-round. All interested participants are required to submit an application for consideration.

KAVA Application

**As you complete the online application, you will be asked to upload a one-page essay. Please prepare this statement in .doc or .pdf format prior to accessing the application and include the following:

• Your Motivation: Explain your passion for attending KAVA. How will this training contribute to your personal and professional growth? In what ways will it benefit your organization and community?

• Your Experience: Provide an overview of your experience working with crime victims and survivors. Include details about past or current employment, volunteer roles, or other relevant activities. 

• Additional Information: Share any other details that you believe would support your application and be valuable for the selection process.

Tuition

Tuition is due after notification of acceptance.
